This has to be one of my most favorite fall cards, and it's all because of the sentiment! I fell in love with this stamp set the moment I saw it. The leaves are great, don't get me wrong – but the sentiments are what set it apart from others I've seen.

For this card, I decided to go with more non-traditional fall colors. The more I play with non-traditional seasonal colors, the more I am loving it! And that's saying a lot. I am normally a color in the lines kind of person – but here lately, I feel like a rebel, and I like it!

So I went a pretty blue, a soft pink and a warm green to make this card, and finished it up with a soft brown.

I love how these colors work together!

So that sentiment and leaves are great, but pull up a chair and let's chat about what helps pull all of this together.

It's the background and the stitched banner. Lean in closer to the screen, if needed, and look at this image:

See that amazing texture of the background? That comes from the Cover Plate Die. To be honest, I was a little hesitant to use cover plates that covered the entire card front. That was something that's fairly new to me. In the past, I have preferred the ones that finish at 4″ x 5-1/4″, so they leave a border when you add them to your card base.

BUT… I read all of your comments on social media about this, and I was in the minority on that feeling. So I tried it several times, and I am totally on team total cover!!! That's not to say that I would turn down the smaller size, but now I really see why you all love them so much.

And then that set of banner dies is a different size than another other banner set I have had before – and it has the stitching, double win in my book!

This card took me less than 20 minutes to make. From the stamping to the die cutting, layering to assembly – done in under 20 min! I LOVE cards that look like they took forever, but really didn't.
