Hey y'all! Today I am playing with some new stamps, dies, and papers. Wanna see?

I started with the Folk Number Thinlit Dies from the latest Sizzix with Catherine Pooler launch. And when I first saw these number dies, I knew I couldn't wait to do a card with “25” on it.

So I started with die cutting the numbers in white card stock.

Then I was looking for something fun to back it with to help all the little cutouts from the inside of the numbers really pop.

I pulled my new Partridge in a Pear Tree paper out to pick my colors. So that took me to thinking red, but I didn't know which shape to go with yet.

I kept being drawn back to the White Christmas Framelit dies, but I had no idea why. There's this fun die that's meant to die cut around a snowflake, but I thought it just might be perfect to use behind my numbers – and it is!

It keeps that whole “folk” look going for the card. A simple white circle behind that, created most of my card.

Then twine kept coming up in my head. Not just baker's twine, but actual, real twine. And I decided to go for it!

A simple knot in it is all it needed to finish off the card.

What I think I love most about this card is that I can make that same die cut 25 backed with the snowflake die over and over again – and use it with most any patterned paper!

I'm usually not one to gravitate towards folksy things like these numbers and dies, but these were just the right amount of different from everything else I have seen in the market place.

This card is finished off by adding a white card base that's slathered in foam adhesive and some simple rhinestones for a bit of bling.

The most amount of time that I spent on this card was thinking of how I wanted to back the die cut numbers. Once that was decided, the rest of the card came together effortlessly.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of these dies! XOXO, Meg
