I love the word Noel on Christmas cards. I simply love it! It's more than a word, it's a meaning, all in one.

When I saw the Greetings of the Season stamp set that was released by Sizzix with Catherine Pooler, I knew I had to use this stamp first from the set.

When you have such a beautiful word, there's not much else to put on a card. And I made this card twice, once without the holly leaves and then with it. I encourage you to make both and see which you prefer!

I used the unique Yuletide 3D Embossing Folder for some texture on some white card stock. Then a very, very light ink blending around the edges with Cummerbund ink. That color can go on very softly or very heavy and be much more vibrant. But with just some very light blending, it's the perfect soft blue.

For the sentiment, all I added was Rockin' Red ink onto white card stock that was die cut with the Nested Stitched Banner Dies. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these banner dies. They are bigger than others out there. This is the smallest size. So it gives me some more variety with my banners.

Some die cut holly leaves and berries from the Hanging Ornament Box Thinlits set complete the look of the card.

Initially I was going to use foam adhesive under the tag, but then I would have needed to under the holly leaves also and that would have taken me 22 years and 15 days to get done. That may be a slight exaggeration, but I feel like it's on point.

And so here we have our beautiful Noel card.

Thoughts? It is too simple? Do you like the blue edging? How pretty is that embossing folder with the fonts of the Noel? Let me hear it all in the comments below.
