Happy New Year!  I hope that 2012 is a spectacular year for all of us!  There is nothing like the first day of the year.  And while most are either recovering or enjoying a day off, I am filled with energy and ready to start the New Year with Stamping!  Now, I am not one for resolutions, but I know that a lot of my stampers are.  I hear at the start of every year, "This year, I am going to use what I have bought."  Does that sound familiar to you?  Does it ring a little too true?  If so, you will love what I am show casing this week.  I am going to share with you some great projects on how to use up what you have and incorporate it with new items as well.

For me, I have to have the new.  Most of the time it does not matter what it is, I will stay up late or get up early just to have the new.  I dream of the new, I love the new, are you getting the picture?  But I also want to use what I have.  And that is where the inspiration for this week came from.

Grab your scraps and join me as we begin our week!

For our first project of the New Year (I just love the way that that sounds, don't you?) I am incorporating new and old as promised above.  I am using up DSP that I have 1" strips of, and a ton of 1" strips.  See, I cut a ton of 1" strips for a project thinking that I would need a ton of 1" strips.  I cut about 75 and only needed 25.  Do you ever do that?  Or am I alone in that one?  So I have a ton of 1" strips, and I believe you get the picture.  I love this Paisley Prints Designer Series Paper and I could not throw away the extras knowing that one day I would come up with the perfect project for it and I believe I have.

For the new:  Stampin' Up!'s new Framelits dies, this is the Label Collection.  I can show you the actual products on January 4th.  So old strips of DSP + new dies = win, win!

I am editing the video tutorial showing you how I made this fun card using all left over supplies I had in a stack in my stamp room.
