Make a Christmas Card using Festival of Trees

This is the FIRST card stamped in the new house – and with Christmas rapidly approaching, I had to go with a post on how to make a Christmas card using Festival of Trees stamp set.

Why this set?

First, it is one of my favorites.  I love all the different trees in this set – and it coordinates with a punch!

Second, I found it!  I am about half way through unpacking my stamp room, and I knew where this stamp set and punch were hanging out – and I can't say that about all of my stamps!

One of the joys of moving is that you can find things you lost!  I did find the epoxy stickers I referred to last Monday, but I also FINALLY found my package of the new striped ribbon!!!

I could not wait to use that ribbon!!!  I decided to use a lot of the green right now just in case I run out of time, I can use the red for Valentine's day :).  (This ribbon comes in a package of two colors, Garden Green and Real Red.)

Luckily I knew where my embossing folders are, I have not found my dies just yet!

This card is one that you can make in just a few minutes:

1.  Dry emboss Real Red card stock (4″ x  5-1/4″) using Decorative Dots folder.  Layer onto Crumb Cake card base.

2.  Punch out a tag from Crumb Cake (2″ x 3-1/4″).

3.  Stamp sentiment from Merry Everything in Real Red ink onto Whisper White (1-3/4″ x 2-3/8″).   Layer onto tag and attach to card front.

4.  Stamp the tree from Festival of Trees in Garden Green ink and the dots in Real Red.  Punch out using the Tree punch.

5.  Use Dimensionals to attach your tree to your card.

6.  Finish with a bow tied in the narrow Garden Green ribbon.
