I love anything that I can get double duty out of – and when you learn how to die your Glimmer Paper (from Stampin' Up!) then you can do just that, and I have created a video tutorial teaching you how to do it. Because let's face it, we don't always want Silver Glimmer Paper, right?
So today's card is a birthday card based on the icing. Inspiration? When I went to pick up Emily from school on Friday, she had her hands over her mouth, she did not want me to see the lower half of her face. Finally I pried her hands away revealing a little girl that was part Emily, part smurf! Where did the blue come from? It was someone's birthday and the mom brough blue cupcakes. I have been laughing about it all weekend and I guess it just stuck with me this morning.
I kept this card pretty simple, just used a lot of layers.
