I LOVE sunflowers! Love, love, love me some sunflowers! And I love them year round, so sometimes the best way to see them is in our card making.

I chose the delightful Like A Sunflower stamps and die set, both from Brass and Bliss Stamp Co, to create today's bright and sunny card. I think one of the things that makes combo unique is that the dies also cut out all the sentiments. You don't see that often, but I see it most with Brass & Bliss.

And that's something I get asked about a lot, so I wanted to make sure to point that out.

Also, in the image link below, you will see just the outline of the sunflower, but when you click on it, you will see the full die set. I'm not sure why it previews the way it does, but click to see for yourself.

Another thing that is unique about Brass and Bliss is their Color Fuse Inks. You buy 4 ink cubes to a pack rather than buying them individually. My first thought on these is that I am used to full size ink pads, so I wasn't sure how that was going to go. But then I asked myself why I was hesitant on them, do we always need full size ink pads? And after using these for several months, I believe it's just what we are used to. These ink cubes are full of ink and I love that all four colors in the palette blend together beautifully! From light to dark, they are ready for you to stamp with or blend with, your choice!

I used a couple of the yellows (from Color Fuse Set #1) to stamp the sunflower image and then a solid black for the outline and sentiment.

By having that black outline, it makes it easy to create a fun background with the same yellows without the sunflower image getting lost with a background of the same color.

Add black ink splatter, along with the Small Stitched Rectangle Die, and you have a perfect handmade background!

How fun is this? It's a stunning card that looks like it takes hours to make, but you can easily make it in under 20 minutes, including cutting card stock.
