Super Easy DIY Father's Day Cards!

So typically when you look at a stamp set – with a coordinating die set, no less! – that is entirely based on a flower, you might not immediately think “Oh, I think I will use that for my DIY Father's Day cards this year”. Ammiright? Like, look at the set:

It didn't scream “FATHER'S DAY – pick me pick me”! But I was playing around with some scraps on my table from another project and all off a sudden I saw a monochromatic, manly tan vision with just one pop of color. Take a look!

Isn't that just so awesome? I just love that it's got an old world feel but the fresh pop of green makes it modern. And SPEAKING of “Old World” – check out this pic:

Do you see that AH-mazing texture on that top panel of Crumb Cake? That's the brand new Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder and I am in love! Just look at this delicious texture! You will see this a lot because it truly looks like a piece of old paper that was gently crumpled from age. What better way to make a nod to dear old Dad's extra years on earth?

And do NOT let those detail die cuts for the leaves scare you away. No you do NOT have to squint and fiddle and get glue everywhere. You can make your own stickers from any die cut using the adhesive sheets. These are one of the most overlooked but super useful tools in the catalog. Just apply the adhesive sheet to the backside of your card stock to make a giant sticker, then die cut. Peel off backing and apply.

I grabbed a button from my button jar – you all DO save all your old buttons, right? – and plopped it on there for that little added detail.
