Today I am sharing a super cute narwhal birthday card idea with you! It's so simple, but it looks harder than it is – don't you just love cards like that?

What I love most about this card is that for the color of my images, I only used two colors of markers! It looks like I used more marker colors than I did, and we will get to that in a bit!

This card uses one stamp set, one die set, one stencil, 2 markers, 2 ink pads and my trusty scissors! That's it!

Let me share it with you…

How cute is this?

Okay, so let's talk about the coloring in of these cute narwhals from the Rare & Extraordinary stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co. You want to start by stamping your narwhals in your favorite ink for alcohol markers. For me, that's Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Then pick your two colors of alcohol markers. Do a smooth color job in each color and then let it dry completely. I am using the new Blending Card Stock from OLO Markers, I love their new paper so much!!! It's perfect for blending. And even though we really aren't blending, it's the card stock I grabbed.

Once it's completely dry, then go back over one section on each narwhal with a second coat. Don't try to blend it out, let it stay tone on tone.

When you buy a stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co, you get the svg files if you like to use an e-cutter. If none of what I said makes any sense or you don't prefer to use cut files, then grab your trusty scissors and do a little bit of fussy cutting.

For the background, I used the Bubbles stencil. This stencil is so much fun to use on all kinds of cards. Even though it's not polka dots, to me, it gives off polka dot vibes, so I use it a lot!

All that goodness is paired with a die cut layer with a fun postage look to it and our sentiment stamped on top!

I have a niece that is going to go completely nuts over this card, I can't wait to send it to her!

Do you know someone that would love getting this card? If so, let me share the supply list with you.
