I wanted to make a card for a neighbor, and really wanted a button to be the focal point, but also really wanted to use ribbon, but wanted to figure out how to use them together.

One of the reasons that I like crafting is because while I am making something, I am thinking about someone.  Make sense at all?  Well, follow along and we will see if it makes more sense.  This weekend, I was thinking about my grandmother and she loved to sew.  She could make anything!  I remember making buttons with her and for some reason, this was on my mind as I was working on this card.  Then WAM-O, it hit me, I would make a ribbon covered button!  Since I was making one for me, I decided to make one with you!  So that is what today's video is all about.

Stampin' Up!'s ribbon is the perfect width for many custom buttons.  I used the 5/8" button kit with our wide grosgrain ribbon.
