Can you stand one more post about the best manual die cutting machine – the Sizzix Big Shot by Stampin' Up!? Part of the reason I am talking so much about this incredibly useful machine is that Stampin' Up! came out with so many new Framelits and Thinlits to cut our paper and even more amazingly dynamic embossing folders that I just can't stop using it and having so much fun with it! Today I have a project where I used the Big Shot for something other than cutting and used a new punch which is BACK IN STOCK! Look at those bricks! Aren't they so realistic looking? Using embossing folders in the best manual die cutting machine is ridiculously easy unlike with some other machines. Just make the correct “sandwich” – shown in the catalog for every item you can use with the Big Shot – and run it through. Voila!
And do you love those flowers? At first I had them layered – something you will see on a project later in the month – but I wanted that fresh summery pop so I left them as stand alone elements. I added one of those new Faceted Gems in the center and I WISH you could see the sparkle! All I can think of is fresh limeade or a cherry margarita with lots of crushed ice! You know I love to talk about depth on a project and adding the texture of the bricks plus the Faceted Gems plus having the greeting popped up gives this card tons of impact with not a ton of work – you know that's my motto, right? Here's a peek at the greeting elevation:
