A handful of years ago, I had the honor of working and training with a fellow paramedic named Randy Trinkle. My husband still worked with him at Austin/Travis County EMS until his untimely death this past Saturday.
Today, many of us will gather and honor Randy at his funeral. This has been a sad week and all I can think about are his children. Randy was a great man, more than funny and just good to be around.
I will be back to posting a new card tomorrow, but today is a day for Randy.
Well Megan I certainly do understand the comradery that there is among those who work together in the field of paramedics, fire department, police, military, etc. I send my condolences for your friend and pray that the sweet memories that your husband and you shared with your friend will help with the grieving process. My husbaand retired from the fire dept. after 34 years of service so we know very well the “family” like relationships that develop. May Randy rest in oeace and I think its awesome that you had this day just for him. IWhat an honor and a testimony to your love and respect for him and his family. Such a blessing.
