Soda Pop Bottle Card Idea
Whether you call it a pop, a soda, or like us in Texas where everything is a coke… even a sprite is a coke – super trendy right now are soda pop bottles, so I bring you this Soda Pop Bottle Card Idea!
I do love this amazing bundle! I bought it to make masculine cards and yet find myself using it for many, many projects.
This card has so much going on with it, but is really easy to make.
Let me share exactly with you exactly what you need to do.
Gather Your Supplies
Here is a list of what you will need – if you find you need/want any of them, simply click on an image to order them.
Choose Your Color Palette
For me, I wanted to use one of my favorite patterned papers, the Picture Perfect Party DSP and pulled in my colors from there.
Time to Stamp!
All of the stamps I used are found in the Bubble Over stamp set – so just one set 🙂 You will want to stamp the larger soda bottle in Berry Burst ink. Then stamp the smaller bottle in Bermuda Bay. On some extra scraps of white, stamp your star stamp in Peekaboo Peach ink & your YAY! sentiment in Berry Burst ink.
Die Cutting Time!
Bring on the Silver Foil to make this card really pop! (get it?!?! pop?!?!?) When you sit alone at the computer – goofy humor has to come into play 😉
Die cut two soda bottle caps (1 in each size) and then two of the of the textured round pieces. Then die cut out your bottles. Oh! And don't forget two white straws. (I get it that you don't use a straw through a lid on a soda bottle – just imagine it has a hole in the middle – or leave it off if it bothers you.)
Measurements
To complete your project, you will need these measured pieces:
- Whisper White: 4-1/4″ x 11″
- Picture Perfect Birthday:Â 4″ x 5-1/4″
Assembly
Take your Baker's Twine and wrap it around your patterned paper three times. Layer that onto your Whisper White card base. Adhere your soda bottles together and layer them as shown. Then use dimensionals to attach them to your card front.
That's all there is to making this card. It looks a lot more complicated than it really is 🙂
Like this project? Check out this one using the same stamp set. And this one too!
