When I saw this comfy cozy plaid paper I just knew I was going to be making some comfy cozy plaid Christmas cards! There's just something about that flannel looking crosshatch of colors that makes me think of cooler weather and the excitement of Christmas coming! Take a look and then we can chat!
The plaid Christmas cards I made today are based on that black and gray and white paper from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper that I used on this super cute project where I shared why I think I have the best heat embossing tool on the planet. I cannot get ENOUGH of the paper in this package! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it uses only three colors – Basic Black, Whisper White and Old Olive – because it gives me endless opportunity to add in other colors that I love and many of the patterns aren't just limited to Christmas because of those limited colors.
So in this case I get a TON of pop of color from the Old Olive circle and then the Real Red starburst. Adding one stamped and punched greeting, a snippet of that fabulous wired 7/8″ Striped Ribbon and one “virgin” doily – I just stuck it on there – and I have some plaid Christmas cards that are cozy and festive and took about a hot five minutes to make. This is absolutely positively a fabulous batch card making project!
Here are the things you should put on your order so you too can make a big batch of plaid Christmas cards:
I love this paper so much I have a couple more projects using it so if you want to make just a few of these plaid Christmas cards you will have project ideas for the rest so check back!
