I have been having so much fun making Halloween cards this season and this card came together SO fast because most of the work is being done by the awesome Spooky Night Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!. Take a look:

SUPER quick and cute halloween cards

Cute, right? And it truly is so quick to make because that zany paper does so much of the work. We know that curves love angles and this paper uses that in spades! Those circles with their wedges of different colors make a pattern that almost looks like it's moving! So layering circles on the card front with a sharply angled banner makes total sense. And it's quick!

Use patterned paper to make quick and cute halloween cards

And see how the paper almost looks like I cut it wonky? That's an optical effect created by those crazy circles. Your eye thinks it's off but your brain knows it isn't so it accentuates that “movement”. This really makes a FUN card!

For the circles I specifically chose the black background paper because it is NOT the reverse of the card panel paper – in case you wanted to make a bunch of these Halloween cards I wanted you to have enough material! INSIDER TIP: Cut the two circles at the same time with the die from the Layering Circles Framelits along with the stamped witch's hat to save yourself some cranking. Add the banner and a bow and POOF* – you are done!

Here are the items you are going to want to make these cute Halloween cards – and if you are on the fence, come back on Saturday to see what ELSE I made with these same products!

Are you making Halloween cards this year? I am always glad I made some because it's so much fun to do a little “treating” to the grown-ups and they NEVER expect something handmade and heartfelt. Make a few Halloween cards – you will be glad you did and so will your friends!
