If you are like me you probably send a LOT of birthday cards so today I want to share an idea for simple handmade cards for birthday celebrations for anyone you know who like to party like a rockstar! What? Here, take a look:
How cute is that? And you can change it up using any colors at all because the featured paper from Pick A Pattern is a fabulous neutral – and there are two fabulous neutrals in the pack! Here's another peek:
You can see how I layered this with Stampin' Dimensionals to make the greeting POP!
Because I love these simple handmade cards for birthday wishes so much and believe that they could be a total problem solver for you, I am going to give you the exact measurements of all the pieces so you can make this yourself – and feel free to use ANY paper, ANY color, ANY ribbon or trim and ANY stamp you have – and have a sample handy so you can whip out a batch of these at your next stamping session!
Here they are:
Daffodil Delight 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″; 2″ x 2″;
Whisper White 4″ x 5-1/4″ (2); 2″ x 2″;
Basic Black 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″;
Patterned Paper 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″; 1/2″ x 5-1/4″
And here are the other products I used to make this card:
Let's have an up close look at the greeting:
Do you ever wonder what to do with those itty bitty stamps in sets? Here you go – use them to jazz up an otherwise plain element on a card! You won't believe what a difference it makes and I am always sort of impressed that the stamp set designers see those tiny elements in their minds and how perfectly they can complement larger images!
And if you want to take you cards to the NTH degree, do something on the inside. Like this:
Isn't it amazing what one tiny element can add to the inside?
Here's one last peek:
Here's a tip: Write down those dimensions on a sticky note. Then go ahead make one of these simple handmade cards for birthday greetings and put the note inside and keep it on hand for that super easy changeup birthday card you can make on the fly!
Well, this is a “simple as pie ” card ! Thank you for reminding me to look at those little add on stamps . Believe it or not that is the reason I got the Eastern Beauty stamp set because there are so many little add on stamps ! I do use more of the add on dies than stamps …..but you inspired me to look over my stamp stash !!
Cute card !
