Wow – I recently got the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog and it's turned out to be one of my favorite card making paper packs EVAH! The soft patterns, the bokeh – which is SO on trend right now – and the way the colors just love each other! SO gorgeous! Check out the card I made using one of the 12 patterns in the pack:

This paper is insanely beautiful! You can use it for just about any occasion and you can use it with a ton of colors that aren't listed under the paper in the catalog. You did know about that, right? Stampin' Up! lists the colors that coordinate with each set of Designer Series Papers in the catalog and on the paper package so creating projects is even easier. The photos of this paper in the catalog simply do not do it justice so I have made a few projects using it so you can see just how beautiful these patterns are.
Those blurred circles are a photographic technique called bokeh where the out of focus elements are blurred on purpose. This produces a very soft look without making the image too girly. I love this paper because it adds plenty of textural interest in just one layer. I continued this textural feel with the circle from the Stitched Framelits and then again with the textured Metallic Ribbon from Sale-A-Bration. BOTH rolls of this limited edition Metallic Ribbon match the papers in this pack.
The other thing this bokeh style paper offers is the illusion of depth. I took that a step further by bumping up my circle using Stampin' Dimensionals – take a peek at how just that little bit of depth added some wow:
And then adding the bow brought it up just a teeny bit more:
Combine these little touches with a combination of angles from the banner and curves from the circle – see this post for more on how angles love curves – and you have a card that is really beautiful with not a ton of work.
Some stamp sets come with two pieces that are clearly meant to go together like the ones I used here from Me=Grateful. This is so you can put one on the outside and continue the saying on the inside. I love these kinds of greetings because I love to split them up on the front of the card for some easy interest AND to say everything I want to say right there.
