Yesterday, I was speaking with a dear friend and we kept using the word Joy, and that is what prompted today's hand made card.  Then the word stuck in my head all night, I dreamed about it, and when I woke up this morning, it was my first thought.  How cool is that?  I want to wake up everyday and have Joy be my first thought!

Part of what I thought of last night was how this word is rarely used anywhere except at Christmas time.  Now I know that Christmas will be here before I know it, but I did not want to make a Christmas card in April.  That is just wrong, right?  So that was my challenge to myself this morning was to make a card featuring the word Joy

I will be honest and share that the finished card below is nothing at all like how it started!  I actually started with Stampin' Up!'s Attic Boutique DSP with the red pattern, but the more I stared at it, the more it looked like Christmas.  Back to the drawing board….

I was looking through my DSP and saw my Flirtacious DSP, there is no way that Flirtacious can be Christmas right?  Those two words just shouldn't go together anyway.

Here is the non-Christmas hand made Joy card that I created:

JoySupplies Used:

Stampin' Up! Stamps:  None!  Can you believe it?

Stampin' Up! Ink:  Whisper White Craft Ink

Stampin' Up! Cardstock:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake

Stampin' Up! DSP:  Flirtacious

Stampin' Up! Accessories:  White Gel Pen, Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets, White Baker's Twine, Neutrals Buttons, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Simple Letters Die, Big Shot, Simply Scored with Diagonal Plate

I will be sharing a video tutorial for this card in just a bit!  So be sure to check back to see the Hand Made Joy Card video tutorial!
