Sometimes a friend introduces you to a crafting company, and suddenly you’re adding stamps, dies, and embossing folders to your wish list. That’s exactly how I discovered Sunny Studio Stamps!
Sunny Studio Stamps is a new-to-me company, and I’m already having so much fun with its products. They offer smaller stamp and die sets along with full-size sets, so you can pick up an adorable little something without committing to a huge collection. They also have several embossing folders—and you know how much I love adding easy texture to a card!
Another reason I was excited to try them is that Sunny Studio Stamps is a small company. Those are some of my favorite businesses to discover and support, especially when they offer products that feel a little different from what I already have.
Meet Miss Moo
For this card, I used the Miss Moo stamps and coordinating dies. That smiling cow, the little flower, and the “Cow Are You?” sentiment were simply too cute to resist!
After stamping and coloring Miss Moo, I used the coordinating die to cut her out. This gave me the freedom to move her around the card until I found just the right spot—and it also made it easy to pop her up for a little extra dimension.
Coloring Miss Moo with OLO Markers
I colored Miss Moo with my OLO Markers, keeping the palette simple with shades of gray and just a touch of pink. The pink adds a little sweetness to her nose, smile, flower, and the inside of her ears, while the cool grays give her those classic cow markings.
Images like this are perfect for practicing your marker coloring because the spaces are manageable and you don’t need dozens of colors. A few shades for blending, a little contrast, and Miss Moo is ready for her card!

An Easy Embossed Background
The background was created with the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder. I used white cardstock for a white-on-white look that adds texture without making the card feel busy.
This is one of my favorite ways to use an embossing folder. You don’t need ink, special techniques, or a complicated design. Just emboss a piece of cardstock and let all that gorgeous texture do the work!
I layered the embossed panel onto a pink card base, leaving a narrow border around the edges. That little bit of pink ties in beautifully with Miss Moo’s flower, nose, and smile.

Use Those Cardstock Scraps!
Behind Miss Moo, I added a few simple squares of black, gray, and pink cardstock. These don’t need to be precisely measured, and they’re a perfect way to use some of the scraps sitting on your craft table.
The blocks of color create a focal point and help the mostly white cow stand out from the white embossed background. I staggered the pieces rather than lining everything up perfectly, which keeps the layout playful and works wonderfully with the whimsical image.
The sentiment was stamped onto a narrow strip of white cardstock and placed across the gray rectangle. A few small embellishments were the finishing touch.
Inspired by a Stamping Family Recipe Challenge
This card was created during one of our Stamping Family Recipe Challenges. Instead of following a traditional card sketch, members receive a “recipe” made up of different crafting ingredients—things like an embossed background, a stamped image, cardstock scraps, and a few embellishments.
Everyone begins with the same basic recipe, but the finished cards look completely different depending on the supplies, colors, and style each person chooses. That’s my favorite part! The recipe gives you enough direction to get started without telling you exactly what your card needs to look like.
For this challenge, I combined the Miss Moo image, the Moroccan Circles embossed background, blocks of colorful cardstock, and a few small embellishments. The result is a sweet and simple card that still feels completely like me.

Small Sets Can Be Mighty
One of the things I already appreciate about Sunny Studio Stamps is the variety in the sizes of its sets. Smaller sets like Miss Moo are great when you want an affordable new image to play with—or when you don’t necessarily need a large set filled with pieces you may never use.
Pair one cute image with an embossing folder, a few cardstock scraps, and a fun sentiment, and you have everything you need to create an adorable card!
