The weather is starting to warm, and that means grilling and chilling in our home. Matt loves to grill, so I made him this card just as a fun thinking of you card to go with him on his next work trip.

I'll sneak it into his luggage, so don't tell him! He's not the biggest fan of hotels, so I just want to send him off with a handmade card.

This awesome stamp set is called exactly what you might guess it is, it's called Backyard BBQ from Brass and Bliss. ALL the images that I used are in that one stamp set, including the sentiment. And, there are fabulous matching dies too!

How fun is this card? If it was for his birthday, I could add a birthday sentiment to the inside of it. It's very versatile, and I got to color it in with my beloved OLO Markers. I LOVE their blues and grays, so this was the perfect pairing in my book.

For the background, I just did some basic ink blending with Brass and Bliss's Color Fuse inks. They are water reactive inks, so I sprinkled just a hint of water to create more texture.

If you are ready to make this fun card, you will need just a handful of supplies.

You can color this stamped image in however you would like, I've done it in reds, greens, and even one in pink (that I thought was super cute!)

There's no way to go wrong with this awesome stamp set/die combo!

Thank You

I hope that this Spring you are setting aside more time for yourself and your love of card making! It's been right at a year since I started my major shift in my card making business. If you get really bored, you can scroll back a year and see how little I was creating, compared to these past few months.

The biggest difference was finding small companies that I fell in love with and want to help support. AND making the time to create. It was a lot easier to make the time when I was using new supplies that inspired me, challenged me, and are simply more fun!

Many of you have asked how you can best support me in this. And one answer is that when you are inspired to purchase products, that you are doing it from my links either in my blog posts, or the links on the right hand side of my blog (if you are viewing it on a desktop) or at the bottom of my blog (if you are on a mobile device.)

The second way is that you can be a part of Stamping Family, where I share even more. In there, not only do I share more videos and do a lot more explaining than the quick videos that get the most views on social media, but you also get access to me through our Zooms to ask questions or get involved.

We are doing some site updates right now, which means that you can register for Stamping Family and sneak in before we do our big opening in a few weeks. (hint, hint, lol!)

Until next time, XOXO, Meg
