Today we are playing with sharks, but in the controlled and safe space of our craft areas. Well, now that I think of it, my craft area is anything but controlled and safe, lol! It's a giant mess!

But this stamp set is just too cute to not use! It comes from Crafty Stamp Co and I've had it for a bit, but haven't used the image that I am using today.

The hardest thing for me with this card was the color combination. You have your shark colors, like gray and white. And then you have the water, but it needed something else.

When in doubt, I always go for polka dots, so today was no different. The struggle was in which polka dot colors to use. Do I use multi-color? Single color? More black and white? I just couldn't decide.

So I was flipping through my paper pads and I was intrigued by the Retro Summer paper. That paper has great colors in it, but they aren't my go to colors. So it pushed me a bit out of my comfort zone, which I thought was awesome, seeing as how sharks have me feeling the same way.

I have a fun shark story that I will share below, you won't want to miss it…

But back to the card…

Normally I stay away from orange except in the fall. Orange to me is perfect for Halloween and leaves, and other than that, I rarely use it. This paper pack had me thinking I might bust it out though and give it a try. It's an reddish orange, and it actually looks great with our shark. Who knew that that would work? Certainly not me!

But what do you think? Do you agree?

The supplies on this are simple. You have the right stamp set with the right patterned paper. Markers and a circle punch – you are good to go!

*** So as soon as I went to create this list, the shark stamp set showed as sold out. I asked the owner, it JUST sold out. There is another cute set that I think would work great in its place, so I included it in the list.

Funny Shark Story

So many years ago, Matt and I went deep sea fishing. We love deep sea fishing!!! We were off the coast of Texas and Matt would catch a cute little fish, and then it would be my turn. And what did I catch? You guessed it, a SHARK! Now, I think that it got pretty mad being pulled up out of the water, but to release it back responsibly, we had to get it in the boat. You know, in the boat WHERE YOUR FEET ARE! That thing tried and tried to chomp off my feet, but I survived, he was released and went about doing his shark things.

Take that entire story, complete with Matt catching these cute little fish, and then me catching a shark and repeat it two more times. Yes, in one day, I caught 3 sharks!

There is another funny story that I could add, but we will wait until another time on that one.

Thank You

Thanks for being here today! I love that you came by my small business and checking out the fun project I shared today. Leave me a comment and let me know if you think the shark stamp set or the Rare & Extraordinary stamp set would be best on this card. Until next time… XOXO, Meg
