Stampin Up To A Wild Rose

Today we are playing with the new Stampin Up To A Wild Rose stamp set and dies!  These are so beautiful and actually I have been able to use these since March, but we will get to that in a bit 🙂  Let me share these fun items with you:

So pretty, right?  This stamp set combines both the look of Distinktive stamps as well as 2 Step Stamping.  And the dies have both the surround die to cut out your flowers and leaves but also dies that give you pretty flowers and dies that you don't stamp at all.  BTW, did you notice that gorgeous stitched label that comes with it too?  YUM!

Back in February I was asked to demonstrate this set at a demonstrator only event in San Antonio.  It's so much fun to do these demonstrations as you get to play with new product before the catalog even comes out, and you also get to do your presentation in front of just under 1000 people 🙂  This was either the 6th or 7th presentation I have done, it's really fun like I said.

This is a project that I highlighted at that presentation.

The Project

I love how this project comes together.  There is so much texture going on.  You get the texture from the dry embossing, from the die cut flowers, from the stitching on the die cut label, plus the silver thread and the button completed with a white bakers twine bow – that's a lot of texture going on!

And it has my favorite color – Blueberry Bushel!!!

The Making

Believe it or not, this project goes together quite quickly, so let me share with you how to do this.

The Supplies

Here is a list of all the supplies I used, minus the button, we all have buttons though, right?

Step By Step Instructions

1. Stamp your sentiment on your white card stock in Blueberry Bushel ink.
2. Clean your stamp, re-ink in Call Me Clover ink and stamp again at least the middle line of text and cut out the middle line of text into a banner.
3. Die cut a flower in Blueberry Bushel and a leaf in Call Me Clover.
4. Die cut your large stamped sentiment with the stitched label die.
5. Dry emboss a piece of white card stock (4″ x 5-1/4″) using the Tufted embossing folder.
6. Tie a bow (if you struggle at all with tying little bows, be sure to grab a 10 Second Bow Maker) and attach it to your button.
7. Assemble as shown onto a Blueberry Bushel card base (4-1/4″ x 11), and be sure to add that 1/4″ strip of Smoky Slate card stock behind your label, it looks so much better with just that little strip of card stock.

And that's all there is to using the Stampin Up To A Wild Rose stamp set and dies without using the rose stamps at all.  Don't worry, there will be other projects that I will share here using those stunning roses.
