How to Make a Quick Card For Anyone You Love!
I love making cards and I especially love designing and making cards that be super fast and easy solutions to that “I can't believe I don't have the perfect card!” moments. This card is a perfect example of how to make a quick card that you can send to just about anyone you love.
I bought this stamp set for this sentiment more than anything else – I love it so much. I love the font, love the layout of the sentiment – this can be used for any occasion type of card and because the greeting truly does say it all, you don't even need other images to go along with it.
It's kind of funny because this stamp set is called A Grand Kid and it was clearly designed with grandkids in mind. That said, only three stamps out of the eleven are grandchild specific and the other sayings are awesome! I learned a few years ago, when Stampin' Up! really upped their game around greeting sets, to be sure to read all the greetings in all the sets. There are lots of sets that are designed to be specific to a theme but when you really read the stamps, you can see that they are universally useful! And if you make sets of cards to give as gifts…..well how many grandparents do you know who would LOVE to send something along to their grands using a sweet card you made?
This card came together SO fast. I used one ink pad – to stamp the greeting. I used one die – to cut the greeting. One punch – to make the backing circle for the greeting. One embossing folder – to add some fabulous texture. One strip of patterned paper, one length of trim. And it all took WAY less than 15 minutes. This is again proof that you don't need a ton of supplies to make really beautiful cards. You could easily switch up the colors and orientation of this card and have pretty much endless possibilities. That's MY kinda card!
Here are the supplies I used for this project. And as I mentioned before, swapping in any colors – and even shapes, for that matter – will work. But I highly recommend you add this awesome greeting set to your stash because the sayings are so useful!
