Today I want to share some easy, fast and inexpensive white on white Christmas cards that you can make a big batch of and send out this year. And if you don't celebrate Christmas but send holiday season cards, this one is perfect because it features a big beautiful snowflake!
Take a look!
Isn't that a beauty? And it's SO easy to make, totally budget friendly (see more below), and doesn't take a ton of time to make a big batch. Here's another peek so you can see the gorgeous dimension on this card all from one embossing folder:
That's NOT a die! That delicious dimension is all from the Winter Wonderland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I am totally in love with it! Putting white on white ON white – as I did with the layers here – creates a card with a ton of depth and interest with so few supplies it's almost like magic.
I am going to show you what I used right here so you can see how economical this card is to make and send to everyone you know:
If you already own the Sizzix Big Shot by Stampin' Up! here's the break down to make over 50 of these white on white Christmas cards for less than $0.70 a card: Get the folder, one package of Whisper White Card Stock, one package of glue dots, and two packages of the ribbon. Cut down 26 sheets of white into your card bases = 52 card bases. Cut down 14 sheets of white into 4″ x 5-1/4″ = 56 card fronts (yes, you can alter it to cutting down 26.5 sheets to get the math closer – but come on… let's keep it simple!)
Run each panel through the Big Shot using the embossing folder and then use one glue dot on each corner to adhere it to the card base.
Use 10″ of ribbon per bow and use the 10 Second Bow Maker to create each bow with zero waste and use a glue dot to hold it in place.
For your $35.75 you can make 52 cards = $0.69 per card. And not just any card – it's a STUNNING card! In one episode of Scandal, you could have 52 cards made!
Don't have a Big Shot? Get one now! (Contact me via email to get a discount on your machine!) Or, add a Big Shot to this order, change it to two packages of glue dots and now you have $15 in hostess rewards! And you're still at only $2.90 per card – and your Big Shot is paid for at a card price that still beats what you would pay in the stores. AND you get to claim you made it yourself.
Also, because these cards do not have a greeting on the front, you can stamp or write anything you want inside AND you can use them for ANY reason throughout the cold months. Imagine these as thank you notes, invitations to a cocoa party, a winter anniversary or birthday card…… The opportunities are endless.
Think about how many cards you would like to send this year. Do the math, place your order and get started! How awesome would it be to have this part of your holiday prep done with? And then you get to sit back and receive all the compliments you are absolutely going to get when you send out these gorgeous white on white Christmas cards to your peeps!
This is absolutely gorgeous. I am for sure going to CASE it.
