So the other day I was talking about how much I love using only the best home die cut machine out there – the Sizzix Big Shot by Stampin' Up! – and here's another gorgeous project I made using it with some new dies. Take a peek and then I will give you some really important information about those new dies:
Isn't that SO CUTE? And I am not trying to brag – when you start with great elements you end up with great cards. Here's another peek from another angle:
I just love the combination of crisp white, yellow and blue.I am going to have to much a bunch of these because if I send this to just one friend, the rest will be jealous!
Ok – a note about these new Lovely Words Thinlits. First, this is what they look like in the catalog:
What Stampin' Up! doesn't tell you that they should have is that these Thinlits do NOT cut the shapes you see around the words shown; you need oval, round or heart shaped Thinlits to cut the OUTSIDE shape IF you want the same look. Now, wait! Don't cross it off your list if you don't have the shapes!
Did you see this card? Recognize the word? It's from this set! I just snipped it free and added it over a heart BUT because the words follow the same curvature, I could have placed it on any shape with rounded edges. See where I am going with this? A-HAH! SO cute, right? AND because these words don't have a cutting edge on the outside, do you know what else they are so very fabulous for? WINDOW CARDS! Or shaker cards! I know! Mic drop!
Being able to cut a huge variety of materials for dies like these is another reason why I truly believe that the Sizzix Big Shot by Stampin' Up! is the very best home die cut machine available. And I do not, ever, say something is the best if I don't honestly believe it.
Along with that super cute die cut, doesn't that sweet little white cross stitching on the new 1/4″ Double-Stitched Ribbon add so much, well, sweetness? Here's a better look at how that bow is sitting just so perky:
That ribbon is a great weight to make both tiny and larger bows and with the 10 Second Bow Maker it's 1-2-3 easy to make them in any size. That panel of daisy paper is left over from another project you will see soon and all the paper in the package is SO fun! Here's a peek at that and all the other things from Stampin' Up! that I used on this project:
Here's one more peek at the project:
