Polka Dot Pieces with A Dozen Thoughts from Stampin' Up!

If you have followed my blog for more than a day, you probably know that I am a polka dot freak!  I am a dottie, I am nothing without my polka dots.  They are fun, they are girlie, the are an instant pick-me-up.  So when starting a morning, and then you factor in that it is a Monday morning – LOTS of pep is needed (and coffee too) to get me going.

Polka Dot Pieces was my first must-have stamp set – and then the ‘just because' in A Dozen Thoughts (both from Stampin' Up!) was my second.  I was drawn to that sentiment for two reasons – the words and the font (yes, I am a font freak too).  What better way to get in the stamping groove other than with new rubber?

This is also one of my most favorite color combinations.  I love the bright and cheerfulness about it.  It is Real Red, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.

What I had to stop myself from doing was dry embossing the Real Red using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and also from turning over that yellow patterned paper.  On the other side of that pattern is polka dots.  BUT, I am showed great restraint in not over doing the wonderfulness that is polka dots.

Here is the Polka Dot Pieces with A Dozen Thoughts card:
