As I get older, I realize more and more that the more I plan, the more likely it is that the plan will go wonky. That is so true for this week. I had some projects in mind, new stamps to play with, cardstock cut, all ready to go….and nuttin'! Instead of playing with new stamps, I have been doing a million other things. One of my favorite things that I have been doing is calling the wonderful ladies that I met at the Creating Keepsakes Convention. That has been so much fun! There is nothing like visiting with another papercrafter – nothing at all! To hear what they are working on, answering questions, dishing about the new catalog, it is just pure fun – if you are on my call list and you have not heard from me yet, it is because the calls are taking longer than I thought, these ladies can talk! But it is all fun!
We have also been busy with the 10 Second Bow Maker – I am thrilled that so many of you want to start using bows on your projects. I can so relate. When I first started papercrafting, everything was knots. Bows just did not work, did not work with my hands and then I saw how people do it with a fork. Now, if you have never tried it with the fork, don't! You really need three hands to do it. Two to tie the bow and one to hold the fork. But that does bring up a funny that we heard at the Creating Keepsakes convention. This lady was telling us that she uses the fork, but puts it in her bra. Like right down the cleavage area to hold the fork. My response was a blank stare – I mean really, what do you say to that? My first thought was, "But I am far sighted, that will never work." How odd that that is my first though, right? Then the other lady that was standing there said like she was having a conversation with someone, "Look at this bow, I tied this bow with my breasts."
I have always heard that the truth is funnier than fiction, and I think that this just proves it!
