Today I am sharing a new birthday card idea with you that I'm super excited about! It's easy to make and made easier with one simple product.

A Circle Punch!!!

Years ago, Stampin' Up! decided to remove circle punches from the catalog. With the introduction of thin dies, you could get a entire set of circle dies for less than the cost of two circle punches. I'm not saying that's why they did it, they didn't consult with me on this, lol!

But one thing you know if you've been paper crafting for any length of time, you know that a punch is faster than a die.

So I was thrilled when they brought two sizes back out. Well, I wasn't the only one that felt this way. They sold out in record time. They are expected to come back in stock, but I hope SU heard that these are staple products that we need all the time.

You can make this card that I'm sharing today with any size circle punch. I used the 1-3/4″ circle on this card, but don't feel locked in on the size.

I have been asked if I will keep my eye on when these punches come back in stock and the answer is YES! Make sure you are on my email list for those updates.

The Birthday Card

I am using the A Grand Kid stamp set for this card. In a few weeks we will get the retiring list from the current annual catalog, and I fully expect this stamp set to be on that list. It's been in the catalog for 2 years, so that's longer than most stamp sets.

If this adorable set is on your list, get it before it's possibly gone.

See, that's a great stamp set!

Here's the card I made, and to see it come to life, be sure to scroll down to view the video tutorial.

I love heat embossing, it's always magic every time I do this technique. If you have any questions about it, please don't hesitate to ask!
