Y'all, I just want to give you a heads up that this card is super cute. It's fun, easy, and has a cool wow factor! And I'm super excited to share it.
What I wish I had was a picture of the shirt that inspired this card. I kept asking myself how I could take the look of printed fabric and turn it into a card with the colors fading out at the edges.
I was at volleyball (shocker, right?) a few months back and a lady was wearing a shirt that had these gradient quadrants on it. I couldn't be the creeper that took a picture of a complete stranger. Because that's weird, awkward, and flat out wrong.
So I remember just focusing on it, closing my eyes and trying to remember the detail. When I got home I wrote it all down and FINALLY made the card that was inspired by the shirt.
AND, because I love you more than I love my sock drawer – and that's saying a lot! – I made you a video to go with it!
{cue the background music: Can you feel the love tonight….}
The Project
Are you ready to see this?
Man, I hope it lives up to the hype I've written.
Here we go…
I LOVE this card. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
And all you need is a bit of patience and a few supplies. Normally I have more supplies than patience, but from start to stop, I was done in 15 minutes. So it doesn't take too much patience.
The Supplies
In the video, you will see me using a glass mat with a white piece of metal under it. You don't have to use either of these, scratch paper works fine. I like the glass mat. Stampin' Up! sold this back when the earth was flat, but here's a comparable one. The metal underneath it is how I rigged mine to work with magnets, lol! So that white metal sheet works with magnets. I also used Post It Tape.
You can find all these items here.
Below is the short list of other supplies I used. To order any of these supplies from Stampin' Up! through me, simply click on an image below.
I no longer have product links for this company.
The Video
Here we go with the promised video of how it all comes together!
