Today I am excited to share this easy coloring card making idea with you! But let me tell you a little bit on how it came to be.
A few years ago in Stamping Family, I created a fun way to color when you don't want to spend a lot of time or intently color, yet you still want stunning results. I called it Rough Coloring, and there are several videos in the Stamping Family site that use this technique.
I have had a few ideas with the City Vibes stamp set and I couldn't wait to use this technique with the bouquet image.
And to make it even better, I made you a video showing you exactly how I made it.
Before we get to that, can I just say how much I love, love, love this card? As I made my initial sample last night, I was so excited to get up this morning and create the video. I would have done it last night, but it was super late and super dark, so it was best to wait until this morning.
Let me share with you this adorable card that takes next to no time to create – yet it looks stunning!
How fun is this, right?!?!

Love this technique. Very cute card. TFS🙂
Thank you so much!
I do like the ease of this idea & the color, although sporadic, allows the bouquets to pop & be more visible. Thank you!
I’m glad you like it! And I agree, it lets the bouquets really pop!!!
Love this…colors are vibrant!
Thank you so much! I love these colors together too!
Wow! How cute, I need to go to SF and find those videos.
Yes! Do a search for “rough coloring”. Glad you like it!!
Interesting technique. Great for my crafters that don’t like to color.
Yes! It’s perfect for those that do and don’t like coloring!
Really cute and easy for anyone to create
Thanks Jeannette!
Love this – I am one who doesn’t like to color so this is perfect for me. Thanks for the recipe too. Love soft cookies and ginger cookies – win win!
I’m thrilled you like this!
I have a hard time coloring outside the lines or leaving places inside uncolored, but I absolutely love how you colored the bouquets. So whimsical. And that die! OMG I love it!
I wind up going out of the lines all the time, so for me, this technique is one of my favorites! I’m glad you like it! And YES – that die set is incredible! You can cut apart the circle from the little angles, but I have plenty of circle dies, so keeping these connected is perfect for me. There are 3 sets of circles in that die set.
Cute card! Nice technique.
Thank you so much!!!
I am just learning to use color and this makes me less intimidated. Would this technique work with any stamp design?
I don’t know about any stamp, but I have used done it with over 100 images, so I feel confident in saying you can use it a lot! Get some of these markers (https://iteachstamping.com/olo) and give them a try!
