Christmas Messages Meets Season of Style Christmas Card from Stampin' Up!

It's like winter here – kids are wearing coats at school today because it is a freezing 61 degrees!!!  I kid about that, because it is often that temperature on Christmas morning.  So it is not a big surprise that I decided to make a Christmas card to share with you this morning.

Over the weekend, my stamp club met and the focus was on Washi Tape, so also now big surprise that I still have Washi on the brain.

This card does go out of my comfort zone.  I am a finished edge kind of person, so tearing off some Washi Tape and slapping it on card stock makes my heart race just a bit.

Here is the card:

When you have a fabulous ribbon, let it be the main focal point of your card.  I like this Cherry Cobbler ribbon from Stampin' Up! because it is soft, it ties so easily and you can adjust it to finish it out without tearing your hair out.

Then my sentiment came from the Christmas Messages stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I love fonts – and this set is full of fun and trendy fonts.

My most favorite part of this card, the amount of time it took to make.  Honestly!  It took me longer to take and edit the pictures than it did to make this card.

Step 1:  Cut your Old Olive card stock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″).  Score and fold at 4-1/4″.

Step 2:  Stamp sentiment from Christmas Messages in Old Olive ink in lower right hand corner of Very Vanilla (4″ x 5-1/4″).

Step 3:  Tear Season of Style Washi Tape and secure to Very Vanilla.

Step 4: Wrap Cherry Cobbler ribbon around the Very Vanilla and adhere to the back side.

Step 5:  Adhere Very Vanilla to Old Olive card front.

Step 6:  Tie bow with Cherry Cobbler Ribbon with 10 Second Bow Maker and adhere to card front.

Step 7:  Bling it up with Rhinestone Jewels to finish!!!

Seven steps to a done card!  Now, if you are a regular visiter to my blog, I don't often list out the steps because it takes WAY too long, this one though, simple, simple, simple!
