If you are looking for ideas for handmade thank you cards, you are in the right place today! Check out this quick and easy handmade card with just the right amount of bling:
I LOVE how that little border of Silver Glimmer Paper takes this card from “oh that's nice” to a mini-celebration in the mail. Here's another look:
And by popping up the greeting panel with some Stampin' Dimensionals, it “pops out” to put some emphasis on the words:
See how just that little bit of elevation adds to that special vibe?
And the best thing about this card is NOT how it sends such a meaningful message in such a lovely way but that this card truly is super easy to make! All you do is take a panel from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Pack (UPDATE: THIS IS NOW SOLD OUT!) or any other patterned paper you like and adhere to your card front. Then you build a “panel sammich” from your greeting on top, a layer of something coordinating or, in the case, blingy, and a layer of your card front color. The sizes of these panels can all be driven by the size of your sentiment. AND you can even eyeball it if you don't want to measure.
TIP: Layer your TOP panel in the corner of a piece of cardstock, equidistant from the two sides that make the corner. Using a pencil or a pinch of your fingernail, make a mark on the other two sides. Now trim. Your eyes are better at this than you think they are and if YOU think it looks even, so will everyone else.
Here's what I used to make this project:
