Best Day Ever Paired with Mini Treat Bag Thinlits (Both From Stampin' Up!)

Welcome to today's post where we pair the Best Day Ever stamp set along with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, both of these items are from Stampin' Up!

I love the Best Day Ever stamp set for several reasons.  First, it's a free stamp set.  (And I always say that free stamps stamp better.)  Second, there are so many possibilities for this set.  When I first saw it in the catalog I was OK with it.  But once I held it in my hands, it was like the clouds parted, this ray from above came and shown down directly into the stamp set I held in my hand, and I am pretty sure I saw a unicorn out of the corner of my eye.

Did any of that really happen?  No.  But you can use this set for so many things.  Check it out here:

See, from large splotchy polka dots, to hearts, to triangles to flowers, to two awesome sentiments – it's just the set that keeps on giving!

For today's card I made a pocket card, using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  This is another item I liked, but the more I use it, the more I love it!  I shared my favorite project so far using it in Stamping Family late last week.  (It is a crazy cute project!!!)  If you are not a member of Stamping Family, click here to check it out.  (It too, is AWESOME!)

Back to this card though…

The color combination for this started with the colors in the Birthday Bash paper.  I pulled in the Calypso Coral, the Bermuda Bay, the Night of Navy and some Crushed Curry.

First I created that pocket using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits:

These go together so quick, and you get a ton of other dies in this set, not just the bag.  Look at all you get:

The banner comes from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, I die cut it twice and stacked them.

I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Best Day Ever stamp set twice to split the words to allow for my button strip.  (HINT:  Use a Post It Note to block off the areas you don't want stamped!

The button comes from the Best Day Ever Accessories Sale-a-Bration catalog.  So it is another free item.  (I don't know about free buttons buttoning better, I just like free buttons!)  Then a bow was tied using Whisper White Baker's Twine along with the 10 Second Bow Maker.  Using the 10 Second Bow Maker makes quick work of tying a perfect bow every time.  Whether you struggle with tying simple bows, or you like tying fancier bows – like the ever popular double loop bow – then you should check out the 10 Second Bow Maker.

For the insert, I went simple.  I used the other sentiment from Stampin' Up!'s Best Day Ever stamp set.  And then I added a strip of stars that was die cut using one of the die cut strips that is in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.
