Banner Blessings to Make a Thank You Card (set from Stampin' Up!)

For today's project, I used the new Banner Blessings set from Stampin' Up to make a Thank You card.

Who is this card for?  My delightful daughter, Emily.

This past week, Matt has been very sick and in bed.  He is slowly getting better, but we have avoided him (and his germs).

Emily and I had plans on Saturday to watch Hallmark Christmas movies in our jammies and bake cookies.

She came home from a Friday night slumber party at noon and asked what time we were leaving to go to Cookies and Hot Chocolate at the club house.  As for me, already in my jams, this was the first time I had heard about this.

A quick shower and getting ready, followed by fixing the hair and getting her “Santa Photo Ready” and we were out the door.  After an hour and a half of waiting in line and a handful of cookies eaten, we decided to stay out of the house, run some errands, do some Christmas shopping or whatever we wanted.

We had a blast.  We went in many stores, bought next to nothing, went to dinner, looked at decorations and just had a blast.

Then yesterday, I drove halfway to Houston to meet my mom and hand off Emily, so she can spend some time with her and with my sister for the week.

It is always hard for me to be away from our kiddo.  She is such a light in our world.

And this card is for her.  It is a thank you card for spending a day with me, laughing, goofing off, enjoying life and having fun.  Most days are filled with the things we have to do, and time off with her these past few months is a rarity.

To start this card, I started with my patterned paper.  It's polka dots (go figure).

This polka dot paper is from the Moonlight paper stack from Stampin' Up. – and all supplies are listed at the bottom of this posting ;).

A little Blackberry Bliss scallop is peeking out from the left side edge of the patterned paper.  And then I added some more of that color behind the sentiment by using the Oval framelits.

The sentiment is from the new Banner Blessings set – that I LOVE so very much, and it is die cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits.

All that goodness is layered onto a Hello Honey card base.

For the inside, it is just a strip of the Moonlight paper – same pattern.  And another scallop strip of Blackberry Bliss – all on top of a Whisper White rectangle.
